Car Parking

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) is in place at Loughborough University.  It is important that any vehicle entering campus is registered and parks in a designated parking bay.

This has made campus more secure, supports our efforts with local planners to approve future developments, from halls of residence to sports facilities, and enhances our sustainability initiatives.

Please note, signage has been installed across campus and Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) are being issued for parking outside designated parking bays and non-compliance with registration.

Students, staff or campus partners:

  • must register on the Loughborough University Parking Portal to bring car onto campus
  • student permits must be approved by the Parking Team before completing registration

Community visitors:
  • Members of the community regularly using a sports facility with a Loughborough Sport Membership, block booking, or as part of the swim school are permitted 2 hours of parking free of charge - just input registration details at the facility's reception desk
  • note, this must be done on every visit
  • non-members making one off bookings are not eligible for this benefit and must register on the parking portal and pay the visitors tariff
  • please ensure you've registered your car with APCOA Connect
  • use your APCOA Connect account to pay any charges incurred for staying over 2 hours
